Sent in this morning in reaction to last night’s post on Adrian Delia’s decision not to withdraw his candidature for leadership of the PN:
“There are things that are given to you and they may be taken away; there are other things that cannot be taken from you but only you may throw away. In a democracy power is temporarily given unto a party and is taken away from it. Moral standing cannot be taken away, but it may be thrown away. I hope the PN, that 30 years ago refused to emulate Labour’s violent and autocratic approach, will not now succumb to the temptation to turn into a copy of Labour’s corrupt behaviour.”
