The Prime Minister will be announcing his Cabinet today. There will be time to analyse his choices but there is one question we are all asking ourselves today. Is he also going to lift Konrad Mizzi on his shoulders, cheer him on as a hero, and reappoint him as Minister in his new Cabinet?
Perhaps, given the result, the PM would be telling himself he would not be ignoring popular will by reappointing Mizzi.
Perhaps though he should be remembering that just because he got the Maltese public off his back and local institutions to quiver in front of the might of his crushing electoral victory, the heat is not altogether off him.
Maybe he should be reading that EU investigators too are looking through the Panama leaks and they may be less impressed by Konrad Mizzi than the recipients of his personalised wine bottles proved to be.
