Picture: Times of Malta
This is Jean Paul Sofia’s mother speaking to the prime minister. Just look at him.
I received this comment from a reader. He’s so right:
The way the PM spoke to Jean Paul Sofia’s mother encapsulates all that is wrong with our politicians, our government, embodied in our PM: paternalistic, condescending, patronising, dismissive, authoritarian, callous, coldhearted, hard-hearted, haughty pompous, imperious, pretentious, overbearing.
He wasn’t even capable of suspending his self-grandioso projection with a mourning mother. No wonder we’re in such a state as a country. The picture should be used to train anybody considering going into politics, as an example of the type of politics Malta does not need.
