The wife of George de Giorgio, arrested yesterday on suspicion of being a part of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination went to the offices of state broadcaster PBS yesterday night to loudly complain her husband was named in connection with the homicide.
The incident happened around 21:45. Employees on duty tried to calm the woman down but had to call the police to intervene. A number of rapid intervention unit officers came on site and instructed PBS staff to keep the building under lock.
The woman who is reported to have told PBS employees she is the wife of George de Giorgio said her husband should not have been named by the news reports since she hadn’t yet let her children know of his arrest.
No one is known to have been physically assaulted in the incident.
