After the Robert Mueller inquiry “did not establish” there had been no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, the man who started the entire inquiry process, Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos is making the rounds in the press asking for a Presidential pardon.

He had admitted to lying to the FBI and sentenced to two weeks in prison but now says he had admitted to that charge under pressure because the alternative would have been to face a much more serious charge of breaching laws against the collusion with outside governments in US elections.

In statements over the last two days Papadopoulos said he refused a request from the FBI to wear a wire when meeting Maltese “mystery professor” Joseph Mifsud who had approached him about hacked emails from the Hilary Clinton campaign in possession of Russian agents.

More in this CNN report.

Meantime look at this MSNBC interview with Papadopoulos and his now wife, Simona Mangiante who separately met Joseph Mifsud in the European Parliament when she worked for the Socialist Party.

This keeps getting curiouser and curiouser. Simona Mangiante goes on to work for Joseph Mifsud in his fake office in London for three months but it is a fascinating detail that Mangiante became aware of Mifsud while at the Socialist Party of the European Parliament.

That’s when Joseph Muscat was a Socialist Party Member of the European Parliament.

Joseph Muscat and Joseph Mifsud are not unconnected.

These images are from a week before the 2013 election that would make Joseph Muscat Prime Minister.

In this MSNBC interview George Papadopoulos and Simona Mangiante agree that Joseph Mifsud is at best “up to no good”, quite possibly a spy, although they can’t be sure whose side he’s on. As the interview host remarks of course that could be a sign that he’s a good spy. Which is an odd thing to think for anyone whose ever known him when he was still here in Malta.

In any case he’s missing and no one seems to know where he is. And if he’s watched this MSNBC interview he’ll be pleased to learn that George Papadopoulos and Simona Mangiante will be naming their coming baby Joseph. Weirdly they credit “Joseph” for bringing them together.

Which Joseph?
