Italian journalists led by the president of the Italian Federation of Journalists gathered today on a bus stop in the northern town of Ronchi dei Legionari to inaugurate street art in honour of Daphne Caruana Galizia. The ‘murales’ is composed of newspaper cuttings reporting the killing of Daphne and other journalists worldwide. People holding up posters saying “time to end impunity” included Anna del Freo from the European Federation of Journalists, Luca Perrino of the free press organisation Leali Delle Notizie and Ronchi’s mayor Livio Vecchiet.

The gathering journalists hooked up with a gathering organised in Valletta by Repubblika and the local institute of Maltese journalists, the IĠM. You can watch that meeting here.
