The Labour Mayor of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Sarah Agius, has tweeted her praise of the prime minister for the imminent arraignment of 10 people in connection with the killing of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Chapeau to @MaltaPolice. 10 suspects to be arraigned in court. Full trust in the Maltese Institutions and my Prime Minister @JosephMuscat_JM

It is significant that the Mayor of Ħaż-Żebbuġ is better informed than the family of the victim who, I can confirm, have not yet been briefed of the arrests let alone of the arraignment.
The prime minister only a few hours ago stated the interrogations of the 10 detained persons (it was still 8 persons when he was speaking) were only just beginning.
In a moment of incredible tension and heightened concern basic policing — nay, basic humanity — would require some form of direct communication with Daphne’s widower and sons. They should at least hear before the rest of us what the prime minister intends to announce. Not to mention the Mayor of Ħaż-Żebbuġ.
Significantly some of the arrests conducted last night were in Mayor Agius’ town.
