While the Constitutional Court of Malta ponders on the earth moving question on whether I have the legal standing to complain, here’s a scene outside Valletta Police Station captured this morning by Michael Zammit Maempel.

I suppose someone will come up with some sort of explanation why bags of used candles are a police matter. We should all expect it to be less surprising for someone to be walking around Archbishop Street with 6,000 head of decapitated bluefin tuna.

You must feel safe in this country when you know that never shall a candle stay too long in a place it was not intended for before our intrepid defenders of righteousness intervene to sweep it away.
