Joseph Muscat has been denying there’s any conflict of interest between the Crane Currency project in Malta and his chief of staff Keith Schembri whenever fresh details emerged showing just such a conflict of interest.
The prime minister introduced Keith Schembri as the ‘catalyst’ that enabled the deal when it was first announced in 2010. But then Keith Schembri hid from view when he was forced to admit Crane Currency would be getting its machines serviced by his Kasco business, which ostensibly makes no money.
Here’s an interesting development. Crane Currency has announced it is designing and printing money for Azerbaijan. Anyone surprised?
