Joseph Muscat wants to stay on but he’s losing his entire edifice of power. All his cronies are in handcuffs or in hiding. He is becoming increasingly like the former boss of a criminal gang after all henchmen have been arrested. He is becoming like a sole king on a chess board crawling around the board hoping to make enough moves for a stalemate.
In the meantime the country is held hostage by him. It’s certainly not being governed by him. It’s come to this. The police now have a huge cork board on their wall with pictures of the people who used to rule this country. One Christmas they’re having a men only Apalachin Meeting. Next Christmas most of those faces will have a big red cross over their faces.
