I attended a meeting of Italian and overseas journalists accredited in Rome marking one year since the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia. This is a report shown on La Repubblica.
The meeting was hosted at the conference room of the Associazione Stampa Straniera in Rome and was also briefed by Maria Grazia Mazzola of Rai Uno that has led the campaign of 58 Italian journalists demanding answers from Malta’s government about the assassination of their colleague Daphne Caruana Galizia.
In the meantime another memorial meeting was held yesterday in Perugia hosted by the city council there and in cooperation with #occupyjustice. Apart from Carlo Bonini of La Repubblica, that meeting was addressed by Paolo Borometti an award winning investigative journalist who investigated mafia collusion in his native Sicily and now lives under armed escort.
