One TV had a field day with my reaction to Bernard Grech’s announcement that he had no problem with Adrian Delia. They’re going to have a field day with this.

During Adrian Delia’s campaign for survival as party leader, his sub-literate henchman Vincent Borg, known as Ċensu l-Iswed, posted a long article on Facebook in a language he does not speak, asking rhetorical questions to MPs perceived or declared as rebels in Adrian Delia’s parliamentary group.

One of the targets of the unknown person who wrote Ċensu l-Iswed’s post was, as you might expect, Jason Azzopardi. Ċensu l-Iswed ‘asked’ Jason Azzopardi if it was true that Jason Azzopardi used Portomaso to visit a working girl.

Jason Azzopardi sued and the court dismissed Ċensu l-Iswed’s ridiculous defence that by “working girl” he meant a woman who works at the Hilton and by “visit” he meant anything like conversation or business.

The court agreed that not even Jason Azzopardi deserves to be besmirched with the slander that he used prostitutes.

This, apparently, shocked Adrian Delia. Yesterday, soon after he posted on Facebook that he was enjoying a meal – no reference to what the meal was being washed down with, in that post – posted another Facebook post savaging Jason Azzopardi for daring to sue Ċensu l-Iswed. Adrian Delia described Ċensu l-Iswed as some vital and legendary hero of the PN for whom Jason Azzopardi does not deserve to tie his sandal laces.

Really? How would Adrian Delia know? The former leader was nowhere near the PN in all that time.

And why are sacred cows entitled to imply you visit prostitutes when you don’t, just because Adrian Delia thinks he might benefit from such a thing?

Here’s the bit that One TV will like. Bernard Grech has been working to stamp out the public infighting. He directed MPs not to criticise each other, or even ‘like’ or ‘share’ social media posts that reflect badly on other PN candidates or MPs.

That means that whether they agree with me or not, no one in the PN Parliamentary Group is supposed to share an article I write if I say that Adrian Delia is an over-promoted buffoon who should be as far away from politics as possible.

The PN group is expected to show a united front.

Given Adrian Delia’s social media outburst yesterday, which he did not write after having too much water with his dinner, does Bernard Grech still have no problem with his candidate?
