This feature on German TV ZDF covered this month’s vigil marking 19 months since the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia in Malta. It is part of a series covering “Europe’s borders” ahead of this weekend’s EP elections.
The feature is obviously in German but if you don’t speak the language it’s still worth taking a look even if for the pictures alone. It is of some comfort that when the world press reports on what happens in Malta, the corrupt and the rotten shut their doors and refuse to face the cameras and journalists are left with the decent people who never give up on hope for justice to prevail.
One good thing about this is the world sees the decent side of this country.
At the end of the feature, the reporter picks up a question asked on one of the locks surrounding the Great Siege memorial in Valletta: Who Killed Daphne? He then picks up the answer from a different lock: Corruption Kills.
