A few days ago on the Central Bank’s official Instagram account, Edward Scicluna mourned David Sassoli the president of the European Parliament who died in office.

Fair enough you’d say since Edward Scicluna was himself an MEP and he may have known Sassoli personally. Moving stuff.

Edward Scicluna also knew Roberta Metsola who has since been elected to succeed David Sassoli. That rather significant event considering that Roberta Metsola is Maltese still does not feature on the Central Bank Instagram account. It’s like it didn’t happen.
