On a comments board of this website, May Borg shared a comment Daphne Caruana Galizia had written as the moderator of the comments under her own website.
Even those who read her blog very rarely will remember the post by seeing this image:
It was February 2016 and Daphne told her readers she was bursting to tell us why Konrad and Said Mizzi would be getting New Zealand lamb for Easter courtesy of Brian Tonna.
Konrad Mizzi and Brian Tonna would have been two of very few people who understood what Daphne Caruana Galizia had learnt. One wonders if that evening they thought they’d still be on top of the world three years later.
Under that post, Daphne reacted to a comment by Peter Sanga who wondered at the risks Daphne Caruana Galizia was prepared to take in pursuit of truth.
“What do you imagine will happen? An assassination attempt?” she challenged. “Please. No. The story can’t be made to disappear.”
It really can’t.
