In August 1966 Chairman Mao, the “great leader” of China had mobilized more than one million people to a mass meeting in Tiananmen Square, a show of force and beginning of disastrous ten year long Culture Revolution. Joseph Muscat is calling the same style of mass meeting in reply to The Daphne Project. It will not be a million people but adjusted to the proportion of the population it will be an even greater number.
Just like Mao’s 10-year long “culture revolution” which aimed to destroy thousands of years Chinese history of civilization and culture and reinforce Mao’s dictatorship, Muscat is doing the same.
